E.L.M Academy was born with two founding partners, Emma and Luke Mitchell. Emma’s ever-growing experience in hairdressing teamed with Luke’s mass knowledge of business has enabled the Academy to flourish and thrive.
Both Emma and Luke have developed the academy to be a dynamic, innovative, vocational training organisation that specialises in delivering high quality apprenticeships in the hairdressing and barbering sector. The training offered is designed to give all apprentices a realistic work-based experience, delivered by a dedicated team of Training Co-ordinators and Technical Educators who value the apprentice’s progress and achievement.
The training team are acknowledged as experts in their field, and all have considerable commercial experience. We ensure that once the students leave the academy, they will have gained perfection in their craft. The courses are tailored to promote qualified student’s growth within the North of England, ensuring we are training the students with the expertise and skills required to secure a successful career.

E.L.M Academy primarily delivers the Diplomas for the Hair Professionals-Hairdressing L2/3 and for Barbering Professional L2/3 to student’s aged 16 and above. The certificate and Diploma provide apprentices with a wide range of skills from shampooing and cutting to styling and advanced colour correction.
