Hairdressing Apprenticeship

COURSE OVERVIEW

Our highly popular hairdressing courses will give you the skills and confidence you need to work towards becoming a professional Hairdresser.

  • Train on the new City & Guilds Hair Professional standards
  • Gain an internationally recognised qualification
  • Work in a realistic working environment, this could include shows and competitions as well as working on clients.
  • Only 6-8 Students per class and live models

The Level 2 Diploma in Professional Hairdressing and Level 2 Diploma in Professional Barbering have been designed by employers for learners wishing to work either as a hairdresser or barber. Both Diplomas will lead to the achievement of the Hairdressing Professional Standard, alongside the relevant functional skills and the end-point assessment (EPA) module. Learners will complete these qualifications as an employed apprentice in a real work environment. Apprentices may have previously completed a Level 1 qualification in the relevant subject area.

  • Intermediate Level Apprenticeship
  • 16 - 22 months course
  • Applicants who have not achieved at least a grade C/4 in English and maths will continue to study these subjects alongside their chosen college course.
  • Achieve a Diploma for the new City & Guilds Hair Professionals-Hairdressing

The Academy offers high quality training in hairdressing and barbering. Each of our Salons are equipped with a state of the art training hairdressing and barbering equipment and we offer training that is designed to deliver a real work based experience

The course is a roll on roll off programme which means that we can start this at any point in the year.

How much does this course cost?

If you’re between the ages of 16 and 18 and enrolling on this course for the first time, you won’t need to pay any tuition fees. 

There may be some additional equipment costs.
