NVQ Assessment Appeals Procedure

If you are not happy with a decision regarding your assessment you have the right to appeal against the

decision. You MUST follow the procedure outlined below:

If the outcome of your discussion is not satisfactory and you still consider that your assessment decision is incorrect, you must then:

• Record your appeal in writing.
• The completed appeal form must be passed to the Internal Quality Assurer who will issue feedback to the candidate and assessor within seven days.
• Following the appeal to the Internal Quality Assurer, the aim is for the appeal to have been resolved.

If the issue has not been resolved then request in writing that your appeal be put to the Training Director.

If a satisfactory outcome has not been reached at this level, the appeal will be referred to the Awarding Body for a final decision.

If an acceptable decision cannot be reached the Hairdressing Industry Authority would mediate
